"Diary of Images", the name I have given to the body of my work, is an on-going process, a record of events, an exposé of cultural issues, a receptacle of personal and collective memories. From photo-silkscreen to video, from physical to digital, the body of my work in the last 30 years can be described as an open hybrid book. At present, I have added olfactory art as a new medium and its capacity to resurface emotions and individual/collective memories.

installation internet New York olfactory art photography printmaking Rio de Janeiro video Mon, 02 Jan 2012 18:53:21 +0000 Josely Carvalho 701 at http://faces-l.net Kay Bear Koss http://faces-l.net/en/content/kay-bear-koss
My personal practice is currently the subject of my PhD research; as a body of work it explores and creates opportunities for dialogue about identity-actualization of the subjective self, of concepts of an embodied or corporeal self, and of human-being-ness in a techno-cultural shared space; using traditional and experimental media the work explores the increasing intimacy between biological and technological systems, and the necessary shifts in thinking, policy and lifestyles inherent in such a relationship.
bioart curation Dublin Ireland IMOCA installation multimedia constructions museum management painting video Wed, 02 Mar 2011 17:05:59 +0000 kbear 631 at http://faces-l.net Jennifer Chan http://faces-l.net/en/content/jennifer-chan
Toronto artist and curator currently based in Syracuse, NY. My artworks are grounded in the interconnectedness between the biomedical sciences and twenty first century perceptions of the “self”. They are structured to facilitate individual viewer immersion and completion through participation - either in real-time or virtually. I re-position installation viewers as active participants rather than passive observers of pre-existing systems. I focus on reinterpreting the research data from my scientific experiments and recontextualising it in interactive artworks, using a range of media.

art/science collaborations Australia interactive installations media artist Melbourne video Tue, 16 Feb 2010 03:37:03 +0000 digitalpla 525 at http://faces-l.net Sachiko Hayashi http://faces-l.net/en/content/sachiko-hayashi
i work mostly with interactive art and video. also i edit online journal about new media and new music (www.hz-journal.org) and curate video and net art to widen general interest in those areas. one of my video works is archived on DVD compilation from Aspect Personas & Personalities, Vol 7.
interactivity Stockholm video Wed, 23 Dec 2009 09:48:29 +0000 sachiko 495 at http://faces-l.net quin http://faces-l.net/en/content/quin
I am interested in work that involves politics, gender and ethnic stereotypes, privilege, power, and science fiction/fantasy. My work focuses on the construction of realities through our perceptual faculties, with the conceptual basis of the work determining the method and material used in its expression. This has included the use of interactive digital electronics as well as low-tech means in exploring themes as varied as abstract narrative, boundaries relating to physical and intangible properties, issues of trespass, and the mating behavior of hermaphroditic flatworms.

Amsterdam Chicago electronic media interactive intermedia installation video Fri, 04 Sep 2009 07:19:41 +0000 Marlena Novak 446 at http://faces-l.net Katrina Nelson http://faces-l.net/en/node/441
I am currently a BFA student at CSU, Chico with an option in Electronic Art and an emphasis in Multimedia.
