Kunst im Schweinestall - Art in the Pigsty
The polyester pig made by Belinda Ziegler in the Wd8 pigsty.
The art pig was made as part of the project 'Connected:07' in summer 2007. The project started with measuring a real pig in one of the neighbours' houses to get the right dimensions. After that the pig slowly emerged in the cow barn, first just with wood and paper, later covered with polyester and finished with wheels and a tale. When the pig was ready it was taken for a walk around the village as part of the project presentation. After the presentation it moved into the former pigsty, where it still resides today.
The Wd8 art center is an initiative by Cym. The Wd8 project transforms an old farm in a small village in Austria into a modern art gallery. You can become a fan of Wd8 at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Wd8/54304500670
